It is a drawing made by the engraving of more or less
hard surfaces. In the renaissance it was used to decorate the façades of the
buildings.
After reproducing the drawing, by means of a metal stylus named scratch
the outer side of the plasterin is scratched until the underlying layer, previously
prepared with a different colour, is uncovered.
Graffiti is a mixed technique of drawing and sculpture. The
sign and the graphic effect belong to the drawing and the relief effect belongs
to the sculpture.
